History, Divine Origin & Legacy

Sacred view of Darbar Bapu Mangal Dass Ji

Born on the auspicious day of 25 Kattak 1850 in Village Sherpur Pakka, Hoshiarpur, Bapu Mangal Dass Ji was the blessed son of Sh. Asharu Dass Ji and Smt. Nanki Ji. As a devoted disciple of Bapu Thakur Dass Ji, he dedicated his life entirely to the supreme principles of humanity, equality, and meditation.

In 1901, Bapu Mangal Dass Ji arrived in Village Ucha (Jalandhar), planting the initial seeds of his spiritual mission. Five years later, in 1906, he expanded his divine presence to Village Raj Palwan (Hoshiarpur). Today, these two historic locations stand as twin sanctuaries open to all seekers.

Bapu Mangal Dass Ji guided the Sangat until attaining Jyoti Jot on 24 Bhadon 1968 at Ucha. His legacy was brilliantly carried forward by his 5 main disciples: Bapu Ram Dass Ji, Bapu Atma Ram Ji, Bapu Chetan Dass Ji, Bapu Pyara Dass Ji, and Bapu Sohan Dass Ji, who continued to expand his mission of social welfare and spiritual awakening.
